Smart routing

One short link can send each visitor to the right place. Set it up under Smart routing when you create or edit a link. Available on Pro and Team.

By device

Add a destination for each device you care about. Fields you leave empty use the main destination.

  • iPhone & iPad — for example your App Store page.
  • Android — for example your Google Play page.
  • Other phones — any phone without a more specific rule. iPhone and Android also fall back to this one.
  • Desktop & laptop — Windows, Mac and Linux.

iPads in their default desktop mode identify themselves as a Mac, so they follow the desktop rule.

By country

Send visitors from chosen countries to a localized page, for example Pakistan to your PKR price list. Up to 50 countries per link; everyone else goes to the main destination.

A/B split testing

Add two or more destinations with a weight each, and every visitor is sent to one at random in that ratio. The link's analytics compare clicks and conversions per variant, so you can pick a winner on real numbers. Up to 10 variants.

Which rule wins

Device rules are checked first, then country rules, then the A/B split. If nothing matches, the visitor goes to the main destination.

Expiry, click limits & fallback

Stop a link on a date or after a number of clicks. Add a fallback URL to send late visitors to another page instead of an "expired" message.

Change it any time

Destinations and rules are editable after the link is live and take effect immediately, so printed QR codes keep working. On the Free plan you can still edit the main destination.
